Money in the 2027 Chicago Mayor’s Race

Campaign-finance figures describe committees during exact periods; they do not measure voter support, prove endorsement or show that a donor caused an official act. The Illinois State Board of Elections is the controlling source.

Q2 2026 official-filing reconciliation

Only two Q2 records passed the official-filing, amendment-label and arithmetic review and are shown below. Precise values for other records are omitted because their official filings could not be opened or their amendment chains were not reconciled. The opened Giannoulias Q1 record is also omitted pending its amendment sweep.

The arithmetic ties: $18,306,054.77 + $3,649,332.26 − $106,324.63 = $21,849,062.40 and $813,125.19 + $108,621.77 − $290,437.62 = $631,309.34. Total receipts and expenditures already incorporate the form’s component categories; adding transfers or loans again would double-count them.

Records omitted from the displayed comparison

The displayed comparison omits Giannoulias Q1 and records associated with John Kelly, Susana Mendoza, Joe Holberg, Bill Conway, Mike Quigley, Maria Pappas and Liam Stanton. Their official aggregate reports, committee IDs where applicable, and amendment chains were not all opened and reconciled. Secondary reporting is a cross-check and does not control a displayed value.

Methodology

Each displayed record identifies its official committee ID, reporting period, filing ID and amendment status. Beginning cash, total receipts, total expenditures, transfers, loans, debt and ending cash remain distinct. The arithmetic check is ending cash = beginning cash + receipts − expenditures using the form’s total fields. An unavailable value is not treated as zero, and a superseded filing remains identifiable. Committee scope is reported separately from the election being discussed; a receipt by itself does not establish endorsement, coordination or causation.
